School therapy & consultations
Home, Preschool & School Visits
Our flexible approach to therapy allows us to provide support and deliver services to your home, preschool or school in order to support your child. There are many reasons why a home or school visit maybe required but in any case you can take peace of mind in knowing that our therapists are prepared, even for those challenging times.
Occupational Therapy Services
Every child should have the chance to reach their full potential. Our therapists work with children including those with a diagnosis of Autism, Sensory Processing Disorders, Developmental Delay, Down Syndrome and Cerebral Palsy to name a few. Speech Pathology Services
We are dedicated to building that bridge for communication with your child through speech articulation, phonology, apraxia, voice, fluency, reading & writing comprehension, auditory processing, ASD, cognitive deficits and dysphagia among other developmental speech and language difficulties.
Our therapeutic approach uses techniques that are tailored for your child's individual needs. With each session embodied with energy and positive interaction between your child and our therapist.
Our therapists are experienced and have worked with children who have autism, down syndrome, developmental delays along with other types of syndromes and complex needs. We have training in picture exchange communication systems (PECS), sensory oral sequential feeding (SOS) augmentative and alternative communications and many more.
Our music therapists are accredited and have completed study in all aspects of music performance, history and theory in addition to the psychology, physiology, social theory and models of therapeutic intervention. Our music therapist uses music to achieve specific outcomes and enhance the development of socialisation, communication, self - expression and sensory motor skills in children.
Social Skills Group
At Shine our occupational therapist and speech pathologist run school holiday social skills groups for children from 4-7 years of age. Each group is uniquely tailored to the children attending and target areas including;
